A happy brown dog wearing a round steel tag on its collar, sitting by a lake

A smart QR tag that helps your pet find their way back home.

Anyone who finds your pet can scan the tag and call you, so you are not searching alone.

The problem

It never happens on the day you expect.

One open door is all it takes.

  • A dog leaning out through a half-open metal gate
An open gate. One unlatched gate, and they are out on the street.
  • A cat sitting at an open window, looking outside
An open window. One window left open, and she is out across the rooftops.
  • A dog lunging hard against its leash
A slipped leash. One hard pull, and the leash is out of your hand.
  • A cat peeking around the edge of a front door
A parcel at the door. The courier rings, the door opens, and she slips past.
  • A frightened dog hiding under a piece of furniture
A night of firecrackers.Loud bangs send scared pets running and hiding.
  • A tabby cat walking through tall grass
A cat on the hunt. She follows a mouse, then wanders too far to find her way back.
  • A soaked black and white dog looking into the camera
A thunderstorm. One clap of thunder, and they bolt for anywhere.
  • A cat peeking out of a cardboard moving box
A new home.Unfamiliar streets, and no idea how to get back.
What happens next

Then the searching starts.

  1. The first hour

You walk every lane calling their name. The neighbors have not seen them.

  2. That evening

You post in every local group and print flyers with your number on them.

  3. Meanwhile

A few streets away, someone kind is holding your pet and looking at a collar with no way to reach you.

They want to help. They just need a way to reach you.

The fix

One scan, and they can call you.

Every Wags n Tags tag opens your pet’s own page. Whoever finds them sees a photo and two big buttons: call you, or WhatsApp you.

Questions

Does it work with every phone?

It works with any phone whose camera can read a QR code, which is nearly every smartphone from the last several years. Older phones can use any free QR scanner app.

Does the finder need an app?

No. The phone camera opens your pet’s page in the browser. No app, no account.

Can I change my contact details?

Yes. The QR opens your pet’s page, and you update your number, photo and note in My Tags whenever you like. The tag never needs replacing.

What happens when someone scans the tag?

Your pet’s page opens with their photo, their name and two big buttons: call you, or WhatsApp you.

Can I use it for multiple pets?

Yes. Add each pet in My Tags and link each tag to its own pet.

Will the QR code wear off?

Not on the metal tag. The QR is laser annealed into 304 stainless steel, so there is no ink to peel or fade.
